Richest You
Become the richest version of you.
According to a recent Forbes survey, over 40% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. And of those 40%, 77% do not have enough money to cover an emergency expense.
💥 Is this you? Are you one of the 40%’s? And even more, are you one of the 77% of the 40%’s?
Chances are, you are. I know I was. I was poor, I was uneducated when it came to personal finance, and I had to learn a lot of things the hard way. Isn’t it wild that we learn about the Pythagorean theorem in high school but not how to do our taxes correctly or what the difference between an HSA and an FSA is?
I want to change that. I want to help YOU become the richest YOU.
All it takes is a little knowledge and a lot of discipline.
Gaining muscle, losing fat
I am an avid gym-goer. 🏋🏻‍♂️ I love to lift heavy things and push myself to be better in the gym. It’s important to keep up on my diet and my workouts, otherwise, my body would quickly lose its muscle and replace it with fat.
Same goes for finance.
You could start slacking and start putting everything on a credit card without ever checking your balance. Then when you get the payment email notification you finally log in and, shocker!, have $7,000 in credit card debt. Or you could say that one day you’ll sign up for your companies 401k and then, poof!, you realize it’s been three years and you still have $0 in investments.
We need to pay attention. We need to be deliberate. We need to stay lean.
What is your richest you?
Something I want you to think about is what does the richest version of you look like?
- Do you cover the dinner tab not on a credit?
- Do you travel to Italy for a friends wedding and didn’t have to save up for it, it was just there, waiting in a Trip Savings account?
- Do you buy the top-shelf whiskey with cash?
My richest me is complete financial freedom. (more on that in future post) And I promise, you cannot be financially free when you owe anyone money. Those credit card companies are oozing in money, they are the ones living the richest version of themselves.
You deserve it
We all deserve to be happy.
Money doesn’t buy happiness but the peace we can find with money, now that would bring lots of happiness.
Cheers to the Richest You 🥂
